On September 25, 2010, the First Deputy Minister of Cuban Ministry of Communications hoped to know conditions and discuss the specific technical problems of applying Chinese standards in Cuba by sending a letter to the National Development and Reform Commission through the embassy. From November 8 to 18, 2010, the delegation composed of 5 technical experts conducted the field visits and technical exchanges in Beijing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Hongkong, and they are very satisfied with the application situation of Chinese DTTV standard and the corresponding results of technical exchanges, they expressed to submit a written report to the Cuban Ministry of Communications after they returned as soon as possible, and actively contact the Cuban digital TV senior delegation to visit China to discuss the matters of using Chinese terrestrial standard.
The business negotiation between Cuba and China are underway actively. The signing of the agreement scheduled to be held in this month was delayed for some reasons. It is expected that Cuba will adopt the DTMB standard to carry out the full-scale deployment of the digital terrestrial television broad casting in May or June 2011.
