In the afternoon of 13th, February, 2012, a delegation of National Television Station of Cameroon visited DTVNEL. Recently, Cameroon National TV is going to switch off analog TV signal and migrate to digital TV. The delegation hopes to learn more about the technical performance and advantages of China's DTMB TV standard, establish the contact and cooperation opportunities with DTVNEL.



 
Professor Yang Zhixing, Chairman of DTVNEL gave an excellent speech to guests, he introduced the development progress of China's digital TV standard and the features of the latest evolution system DTMB-A. Through the analysis data, technical characters, Professor Yang mentioned three fundamental innovation of DTMB standard, 1) DTMB adopts TDS-OFDM design, has superiority in signal spectrum efficiency, signal processing speed, anti-interference; 2) LDPC code is first integrated in DTV standard, which gain 3dB advantages to the signal reception threshold; 3) adopting time-frequency domain processing technology that is more suitable for multi-service broadcast.
 
Mr. Tangmo Ngamy Daniel, Chairman of Strategic Planning of Cameroon National TV, who expressed gratitude to Professor Yang's kindly reception. Cameroonian guests are very interested in our E-DTMB and DTMB-A systems, they asked some technical questions about these 2 TV standards and got very satisfactory answers from our technicians. After meeting, the Cameroon guests took friendly photo with Professor Yang.
