Mongolian delegation visited DTVNEL

On 15th, February 2012, a group of six people led by Batamgalan Boldbaatar, the president of Mongolia Broadcasting Ministry visited DTVNEL. Professor Yang Zhixing and Professor Pan Changyong warmly received this delegation.


During the meeting, Professor Yang Zhixing focused on the construction and contribution of DTVNEL. He told to Mongolian guest that national engineering laboratory was set up by state investment. The principal mission of lab is to promote and develop DTMB TV standard. All staff of lab will improve the competitiveness of digital TV products and strive to expand DTMB standard at oversea market. There are nine famous academicians and experts in laboratory who participate the research and development for end to end digital TV equipment and system. In addition, Professor Yang also explained the eight tasks of laboratory and introduce our current achievements on DTMB overseas promotion.



Mr.Batamgalan Boldbaatar on behalf of Mongolia Broadcasting Ministry expressed their gratitude to Professor Yang. He introduced the development status of Mongolian digital television. Mongolia has decided to shut down analog TV by 31st, July 2014, The purpose of his visit is to select an international DTV standard.  Due to Mongolia and China are friendly neighbors, he hopes to receive strong technical support and help from China. Professor Yang said that China and Mongolia have good relationship and enjoy convenient exchanges. DTVNEL would bring basic research, high-tech development, engineering design to Mongolia for digital television R&D.


After meeting, both two parties reached consensus of some cooperative proposals and took kindly photo together.
